A package from Claire filled with stationery. And I do love paper things a whole lot. Including postage stamps. I guess it's because things related to letter writing makes me think of receiving awesome hand written envelopes in the mail. Just like this one all the way from the UK. Aren't Claire's doodles on my package cool? It makes me feel special knowing that she drew that by hand just for me.

I just had to take snapshots of the cute things in my package. I'll be posting more photos soon. Thanks Claire! xo

I know you'll love her blog: HeartHandmadeUK

  1. Unfortunately, the link to her blog doesn't work?
    Cool mail, though!

    1. Hi Riley, thanks for letting me know about the link. I fixed it. It's great that you saw it. I appreciate it! xo

  2. The drawing on the package is so charming!

    1. Hi Fanny, thank you for your comment. Right, charming illustration on the package. It makes it special that Claire drew it by hand. I like personal touches. Have a good day! :)

  3. I love the stamps too! I think part of the pleasure of receiving a sweet package (and thank you SO much for mine!!!) is that A) it's not a bill B) Once you get over the relief of that you can revel on the time it took someone to put it together and it feels so great that someone was thinking of you.

I am loving your watermark hand (and 'email'), so beautiful, what nib did you use?

    1. Hi there Tristan, thank you so much for your visit and comment. Mail that's not a bill is the best kind :) I truly love the art of correspondence. The way it can brighten someones day is just one of life's simple pleasures that I'm fond of. Btw, glad you got the little package. As for the nib, it was N76 Gilliot 1068A. It's quite a stiff nib but I found that it suits me and my heavy hand. Plus, it doesn't skip on me as much as others I've tried. I'm happy that you noticed my watermark hand and the email button. Having fun playing around with ideas. Calligraphy is rather addictive and sort of a form of therapy I must say. I'm so thrilled we share the same interest. xo,Merissa

So happy you paid me a visit. Mahalo!

Hi there! Photography and art featured on this blog, unless where noted, came from my camera and were made or styled by my hands. You may not use my photos for profit or on commercial websites, but we might be able to work something out with a dozen chocolate macarons, and a juicy deal. Do not remove my watermarks or copyright markings from my photos (please see previous sentence). I won't bite, well unless you infringe on my copyright. But really, send me an email, I'm pretty nice. The snail mail on my blog includes my mail or the work from other artists and pen friends. I do my best to give everyone credit. But, in the case where I have missed the proper credit please contact me to address it. If you would like to re-blog or pin any of my original works please be the awesome person that you are and give me a shout out a.k.a. proper credit, and link it back here. Speaking of links, I do on occasion link out to other sites, however I am not responsible for the content you find on those sites. Sometimes clicking on a link I’ve provided may be a link to a site that will give me a small commission if you buy something from them. Which means that I might get paid (hopefully not in gum) if you click on that link, whoo-hoo. Reason why I’m telling you is because I want to be honest with you and frankly, because it’s illegal not to. That said, I promise to use any affiliate commissions earned for good cause: like stationery hauls and lattes. Thank you kindly, Merissa
