Doing A Little Test With My Early Christmas Present!!!

11.16.2010

Filming my current crafty project, pompom critters, with my new Christmas present! Well, count that for my birthday, anniversary, Valentines, and next Christmas present too. Because I got my dream camera: CANON 5D II! Whoohoo! I am super engulfed in learning all that I can right now. I'm finding excellent tutorials on Youtube and I'm trying to absorb as much as I can.
Here's a short video I took today. I just wanted to shoot something right away to see if everything works properly. Please excuse the shakiness, I was filming hand held with my heavy 50mm f/1.4 lens (the only lens I got right now). Hoping to learn some editing too. Right now I'm just using iMovie, it was my first at trying iMovie out too. I wish I could learn everything with a snap of my fingers, but things don't work out that way.
Do you know of any cool tutorials on the 5D II, websites, blogs, forums that you would like to share with me? I'd be so happy to check them out!

  2. Hi Angela! Thank you! I'm liking iMovie so far. And as for my little critters, I made them by hand (pompoms), and stuck their faces on and accessorized. I found a great tutorial on Martha Stewart.com! Love her!
Hoping to share more photos when I complete something (^•^) So fun!

You are going to have so much fun playing with your new toy and just think of all the wonderful photos you can take during the Christmas break. You will have had time to work everything out now compared to unwrapping it at Christmas time and learning then......I hope that made sense......lol!!
Anywho......enjoy, I am really happy for you and can't wait to see more of your amazing photos, I have missed them ;) xox

Hi there! Photography and art featured on this blog, unless where noted, came from my camera and were made or styled by my hands. You may not use my photos for profit or on commercial websites, but we might be able to work something out with a dozen chocolate macarons, and a juicy deal. Do not remove my watermarks or copyright markings from my photos (please see previous sentence). I won't bite, well unless you infringe on my copyright. But really, send me an email, I'm pretty nice. The snail mail on my blog includes my mail or the work from other artists and pen friends. I do my best to give everyone credit. But, in the case where I have missed the proper credit please contact me to address it. If you would like to re-blog or pin any of my original works please be the awesome person that you are and give me a shout out a.k.a. proper credit, and link it back here. Speaking of links, I do on occasion link out to other sites, however I am not responsible for the content you find on those sites. Sometimes clicking on a link I’ve provided may be a link to a site that will give me a small commission if you buy something from them. Which means that I might get paid (hopefully not in gum) if you click on that link, whoo-hoo. Reason why I’m telling you is because I want to be honest with you and frankly, because it’s illegal not to. That said, I promise to use any affiliate commissions earned for good cause: like stationery hauls and lattes. Thank you kindly, Merissa
