Summer & Kauai

6.22.2010

Summer is here.
And here are a few more photos from Kauai.
I took these photos at the Wailua River on the east of the island.
My family and I spent many summers there and it always brings back happy memories.

We had a popcorn machine!
Rainbow popcorn, yum!

Paper lanterns that we hung around the tent.

My uncle holding a little bubble machine.

A hammock that my dad put up.
I wish I was napping in it right now.

Hope you all are enjoying your summer! I wonder what summer is like in other places? I would like to experience a summer elsewhere in the future. For now I can daydream about it...in that hammock, under the coconut trees, swinging the day away...ahh.

  1. Your pictures are sooo beautiful!
    Kitty!!!!!Lara and I love Kitty!!!
I would love to spend a summer there!!! We are enjoying our winter down here...
If you want to spend a very different summer, I recommend Patagonia, where lakes, rivers, mountains, dry air, huge forests and wild surroundings are natural opposites to your beachy photos.
You can raft, trek, cycle in the mountains, camp, fish and take wonderful pictures, of course!

  4. Euphoria, thank you! Patagonia, yes! Believe it or not but here on Oahu we have a snow shop named Patagonia. So when you mentioned the name, I did recognize it. Patagonia sounds like a perfect place to spend a very different summer!

Miss B, thank you so much for stopping by! I'm so happy you like the bubbles and hammock :)

Lou, Kauai is a beautiful and relaxing place. You should definitely visit! It would be perfect for a honeymoon or just to get away and renew yourself.

i wanted to ask you something:
i think you´ve designed your own blog template (or layout, don´t know the exact name in english) and i wondered if you could make me one for a new blog.

If you don´t mind, please answer me here, in your blog, because in mine i´ve got a problem and can´t read people´s comments :S

    Thank u so much! ^^

Hi there! Photography and art featured on this blog, unless where noted, came from my camera and were made or styled by my hands. Do not remove my watermarks or copyright markings from my photos (please see previous sentence). I won't bite, well unless you infringe on my copyright. But really, send me an email, I'm pretty nice. The snail mail on my blog includes my mail or the work from other artists and pen friends. I do my best to give everyone credit. But, in the case where I have missed the proper credit please contact me to address it. If you would like to re-blog or pin any of my original works please be the awesome person that you are and give me a shout out a.k.a. proper credit, and link it back here. Speaking of links, I do on occasion link out to other sites, however I am not responsible for the content you find on those sites. Sometimes clicking on a link I’ve provided may be a link to a site that will give me a small commission if you buy something from them. Which means that I might get paid (hopefully not in gum) if you click on that link, whoo-hoo. Reason why I’m telling you is because I want to be honest with you and frankly, because it’s illegal not to.
