Waikiki Part 2

So I took quite a bit of photos that day when we were in Waikiki. I couldn't help it, it was a beautiful sunny day. Here are more photos of the historic Moana Surfrider Hotel. I'd like to stay there one day so we can lounge on the lanai and play more tourist.

When you exit the lobby and head out towards the beach at the back of the hotel, there is this grand banyan tree with umbrellas and tables where guests lounge and beach watch. The banyan tree is probably very very old and such a beautiful centerpiece for the hotel's backyard.
The lobby is wonderfully decorated. I love the mix of the old with the new. Very tastefully done.
The classic staircase in the main lobby.
The lanai out back looks so pretty overlooking the grand banyan and beach. It would be nice to have some brunch there.
You can see Diamond Head in the distance.

The lifeguards have a cool perch along the beach. I believe their towers are newly built.

You'll never find beaches this crowded on Kauai..haha.

I thought that this canoe was going to run over someone! There were so many people in the water and I believe all the passengers except the steersman at the back of the canoe were inexperienced. They got really close to the kids that were playing on the inside. Again, I'm so glad that Kauai's beaches aren't this crazy..haha.The sky was so gorgeous that day!
