When I need to be inspired I gather some of the little things that put a smile on my face. Here photographed are: postcards from Minitoko, a vintage kokeshi doll, sticker flakes, kitty doll, kawaii notepads from Japan and Korea, Essie nail polish (okay, I might've bought these just for photo props), and pink pom poms from my sister Hillary

I might take a cue from the colors, the illustrations, the subjects, the lovely vibe they emit (^•^) Anyhow, they put my mind in a creative state. Maybe I'll do a mood/inspiration board. I haven't done those in a while....hmmm.

  1. I too like surrounding myself with images and with objects which give to my imagination a "good food" to my creations, and which give the smile :)
The idea of inspiration walls is very well to be stimulated. It is good to have sources of inspiration which accompany us one moment under our eyes ! I like these visual stimulatons.
    Have a good day :)

  2. Pure girl stuff! Pinks and whites! Lovely!

  3. Boheme Circus: Aloha Celine, I'm so pleased that we have similarities in finding inspiration in the images and objects that put smiles on our faces ^^ I love that term you used "good food" for the imagination. You are right! ^^ Thank you so much for your words.
    Have a great weekend!

Euphoria: Aloha Kira, girl stuff gets me giddy with glee! ^^

  4. Cute stickers, I always have a thing for cute stickers. They always melt my heart <3

  5. Summertoast, hello!

  9. Likegiselle: Hi Jordan, glad you liked them ^^ thank you xo.

  10. So, I share the same love for Essie Nail Polish...I have to ask...do you remember what this lovely color is called??? XO

  11. Hi Anna: The blue Essie polish is: Turquoise & Caicos, the pink is: Status Symbol. Aren't Essie polishes great? I love their color choices, so very modern and chic ^–^.

So happy you paid me a visit. Mahalo!

Hi there! Photography and art featured on this blog, unless where noted, came from my camera and were made or styled by my hands. You may not use my photos for profit or on commercial websites, but we might be able to work something out with a dozen chocolate macarons, and a juicy deal. Do not remove my watermarks or copyright markings from my photos (please see previous sentence). I won't bite, well unless you infringe on my copyright. But really, send me an email, I'm pretty nice. The snail mail on my blog includes my mail or the work from other artists and pen friends. I do my best to give everyone credit. But, in the case where I have missed the proper credit please contact me to address it. If you would like to re-blog or pin any of my original works please be the awesome person that you are and give me a shout out a.k.a. proper credit, and link it back here. Speaking of links, I do on occasion link out to other sites, however I am not responsible for the content you find on those sites. Sometimes clicking on a link I’ve provided may be a link to a site that will give me a small commission if you buy something from them. Which means that I might get paid (hopefully not in gum) if you click on that link, whoo-hoo. Reason why I’m telling you is because I want to be honest with you and frankly, because it’s illegal not to. That said, I promise to use any affiliate commissions earned for good cause: like stationery hauls and lattes. Thank you kindly, Merissa
