[Announcement] Shop opening!

I would like to announce the opening of a new shop on Etsy: "A Merri Heart", a place where you will find cute and lovely, handcrafted shabby chenille rings, all made by my: Mom!

Great for birthdays, bridal and baby showers, for yourself if you want a little something that's wearable to cheer you up,  they're fantastic conversational pieces too!

Please stop on over and take a look. By the way, I took these photos for her :)

Here's what she say's on A Merri Heart's Etsy profile bio:

"Love all things Shabby Chic, Romantic, Victorian, Altered/repurposed & recycled clothing, Handmade Jewelry & Dolls, eco-friendly fabrics & materials. Thrift Store and Flea Market hunting for treasures. I love Christmas and everything to do with it! Cool, crisp weather, family time, friendships, creating things, watching it take form and being happy with the end product. I am thankful for God's never failing Love."

And may I add a little about her. My mom, Cee (short for Cynthia) was born and lives on Kauai, is a wife and mother to 5 children, 4 girls and 1 boy, whom are all married and engaged to be married. Our family is expanding, granddaughter #1, is Honestie, (who calls my mom Gaga), will soon be a big sister. Granddaughter #2, Harper, was born in June. My mom is also mom to a large and expanding clan of doggies which include Shihtzu's and Pomeranians. When she's not caring for the family, or at her full time job, her free time is usually spent at the bookstore, or doing a personal crafting project, or one for the family, as there is always a family party celebration going on that needs her assistance. She also was once a small business owner of a balloon and gift shop on Kauai named, Air Fair. My sisters, brother and I, grew up around balloons and parties. My mom would make all sorts of cool balloon arrangements and we would usually accompany her on deliveries and to the banquet halls to decorate.

Well I hope you enjoyed the little side-tracked trip down memory lane with me, ha! And feel free to say "hello" to my mom, Cee, via Etsy convo. She'll be glad to hear from you!

Hi there! Photography and art featured on this blog, unless where noted, came from my camera and were made or styled by my hands. You may not use my photos for profit or on commercial websites, but we might be able to work something out with a dozen chocolate macarons, and a juicy deal. Do not remove my watermarks or copyright markings from my photos (please see previous sentence). I won't bite, well unless you infringe on my copyright. But really, send me an email, I'm pretty nice. The snail mail on my blog includes my mail or the work from other artists and pen friends. I do my best to give everyone credit. But, in the case where I have missed the proper credit please contact me to address it. If you would like to re-blog or pin any of my original works please be the awesome person that you are and give me a shout out a.k.a. proper credit, and link it back here. Speaking of links, I do on occasion link out to other sites, however I am not responsible for the content you find on those sites. Sometimes clicking on a link I’ve provided may be a link to a site that will give me a small commission if you buy something from them. Which means that I might get paid (hopefully not in gum) if you click on that link, whoo-hoo. Reason why I’m telling you is because I want to be honest with you and frankly, because it’s illegal not to. That said, I promise to use any affiliate commissions earned for good cause: like stationery hauls and lattes. Thank you kindly, Merissa
